





Lakeside Amusement Park Carousel
History: This carousel was built in 1908 by C. W. Parker in Abilene, KS for the Lakeside Amusement Park which opened the same year. It is a classic wooden carousel with 4 rows on 3 levels.
It is one of Parker’s very early carousels with horses & menagerie animals carved in a folk art style. It’s the biggest one ever made by Parker and 1 of 16 still in operation being the only menagerie one left. There is no band organ.
